Kid's Maker Space

Explore! Children’s Museum of Washington, DC, in has opened our new Kid's Maker Space and is looking forward to welcoming you at our next hands-on learning event.

Our activities are designed to engage children 5-9 years old while highlighting the history and character of our Fort Totten neighborhood.

Hours and Tips for Visiting

• The Explore! Kid's Maker Space  will be open most Fridays from  4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Hours subject to change. Please consult our events calendar to RSVP.
• The exhibition is located on the first floor of the The Modern apartment at Art Place just steps from the Fort Totten Metro Station at 395 Ingraham Street, NE. Click here for directions.
• The Kids Maker Series is designed for children and caregivers to experience activities together. Adults must stay with their children.

Guidelines

• All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Activities are designed for children ages 18 months to eight years old and those who accompany them.
• Food and drink may not be consumed in the exhibition. Nursing and bottle feeding is allowed.
• Visitors who intentionally compromise the safety of the exhibition or its occupants will be asked to leave.
