Code.org

Code.org offers all students the opportunity to learn computer science either at school or at home! In addition to a variety of games, tools and workspaces online, Code.org offers two self-paced courses so beginners can learn at home. One course is suggested for ages 9-18 years old, while the other is suggested for ages 4-8 years old. These online courses start with block-based programming to help teach the foundation before jumping right into text programming such as JavaScript or Python. In addition to student resources, there are many resources for teachers as well. Code.org provides structure for teachers who want to include computer science in their curriculum, even if they don't have a background in it themselves!

Code.org is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing student access to computer science. Their goal is to increase engagement of young women and other underrepresented groups. So far, more than 2 million teachers and 60 million students have been enrolled in Code.org courses.
